There are several reports saying that the reason Charlotte dropped the WWE Women’s Title to Sasha Banks on RAW may be due to the former champion asking for some time off in the near future. The reports began when Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio said he’d been hearing rumors that she’d asked for some time off. Bryan Alvarez, the co-host of the show, said that he’d heard the same thing. These reports are not confirmed as of now.
It should be noted that during a recent edition of his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair said that a rematch between Charlotte and Sasha Banks was in the works for WWE SummerSlam. Of course, Charlotte could still take some time off following that, but if Ric is correct, she will at least be sticking around through mid to late August.
