FOX 35 is reporting that WWE offered its direct help to the city of Orlando, Florida following the terror attack shooting at the Pulse nightclub back on June 12th. The city of Orlando released a number of texts, emails and the like that were related to the shooting at the gay nightclub. As many of you know by now, forty-nine people were killed and another fifty-three were injured during a Latin Night event, According to the texts and emails sent to the city of Orlando following the shootings, Stephanie McMahon reached out to Orlando mayor Buddy Dwyer and offered the company’s aid.
According to the FOX 35 report, Stephanie referred to Orlando as WWE’s “second home” and said that WWE was brainstorming ways to raise money for the OneOrlando fund. She asked whether there was more that they could do. Mayor Dyer wrote back thanking her and said someone from the city would be in touch as soon as possible.
As you know by now, WWE had a moment of silence on that Monday’s episode of RAW, and all proceeds from Sunday’s live event in Orlando were donated to the “OneOrlando Fund.”.
