In addition to the previously reported issues between Ryback and WWE, there now appears to be an issue brewing over a trademark as well.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Ryback filed a trademark for “The Big Guy” in October of 2015. WWE then filed for the same trademark about three months later. Both WWE and Ryback cited “conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer” as the reason for their filings.
It’s interesting to note that Ryback’s filing was published for opposition on Tuesday morning, just one day after being sent home from RAW. WWE now has thirty days to challenge the filing.
