WWE SmackDown commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler recently attended the 38th annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois. According to a fan in attendance at the event, he spoke with Lawler and claimed he said that WWE was planning to have two pay-per-view events monthly following the WWE brand split. According to Lawler, RAW and SmackDown would each have their own pay-per-view events each month.
The only exceptions would be for the big four pay-per-view events – WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series. Those four shows would feature both the RAW and SmackDown brands on the same event.
Some of you may remember that during the last brand extension, WWE would alternate PPV events for RAW and SmackDown.
