We reported last week here on eWrestlingNews.com that Simon Gotch and Sin Cara were involved in a backstage fight at last week’s WWE SmackDown Live! TV tapings (the draft show). Here are the latest details on what happened, per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
One version of the story says Sin Cara “flipped out” and threw an unopened can of soda at Gotch’s face. This reportedly led to Gotch hitting the ground hard. Another version of the story says Sin Cara punched him.
It should be noted that Gotch did not work the WWE live events last week, while Sin Cara did work the shows. There was reportedly no disciplinary action taken against Sin Cara.
Gotch has heat with some of the wrestlers backstage, and he and Sin Cara have had several issues in the past. According to some sources, Gotch’s “loud mouth” gets people angry with him.
