According to sources, the decision to put the new WWE women’s title belt on Charlotte at Sunday night’s triple threat match at WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view was a last-minute decision. As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, many of the WrestleMania 32 finishes were last minute calls. WWE officials reportedly went back and forth over the past week over who would win the match. Charlotte retaining the title was made just a few days prior to WrestleMania 32.
Also, the original plan was for the new WWE women’s title belt to be introduced tonight on RAW, but WWE changed it so it would be revealed at WrestleMania and then featured on “The Today Show” earlier this morning.
