UPDATE x 2: According to sources, some members of Roman Reigns’ family actually wanted to see him quit WWE after he didn’t win the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 31. Although it’s not known which family members expressed such desires, Reigns’ father Sika was “absolutely furious” about the decision to put the title on Seth Rollins and not Reigns.

While Reigns’ uncle Afa also wasn’t happy with the decision, he wasn’t nearly as upset as Sika. As for Reigns, he reportedly had no issues with the loss and took the decision well.

Michael Hayes denying the report is simply due to the fact that he’s a “company man”. He was also the main person in charge of the creative direction for the main event. Of course, Vince McMahon signed off on his and several others’ idea of having Seth Rollins cash-in.

UPDATE: Michael Hayes took to Twitter yesterday to shoot down reports that Roman Reigns’ family was extremely upset about Reigns being booked to lose at WrestleMania 31. As you may recall, a report claimed that Reigns’ father Sika was “looking to start a war” after plans were changed from a Reigns win to Seth Rollins cashing in Money in the Bank.

Hayes posted the following to Twitter:

In response, Dave Meltzer of the Observer posted the following update:

“Six different sources on the Sika story by the way. Two more on the Afa side of the family for his reaction. This was not a secret. Was something everyone was openly talking about, both in the family, close to the family, and more.”

ORIGINAL: Members of the Anoa’i family were said to be very upset with the end of WrestleMania 31 on Sunday when they learned that plans changed and Roman Reigns wasn’t going to win the WWE title. Reigns’ father Sika was “looking to start a war”.

A source said: “Sika forgot this business is not real life, and was legit pissed at the finish and looking to start a war. A lot of the younger (family members) were rallying around Sika, but the other 45 or 50 of them talked some reason.”

Another source claimed they were disappointed and upset but not “out of control”. The family was there to see Rikishi go into the WWE Hall of Fame and see Reigns have his “WrestleMania Moment” and become champion.
