While he said yesterday that he has not signed with a company, a new report claims that Cody Rhodes has in fact signed with ROH. Wrestling Inc reports that according to sources close to the situation, Rhodes has come to terms with the company on a new deal. The length of the deal isn’t known.
Rhodes was not at the most recent iMPACT! Wrestling tapings and after that led to speculation that he had signed a deal with ROH, Rhodes took to Twitter and said “For the record…I. Have. Not. Signed. Anywhere.” The report mentions this statement, so assuming the report is accurate, that would suggest that this development occurred after he posted the message on Wednesday morning or that he was working fans.
Under his new deal, Rhodes will be allowed to take outside bookings including PWG, New Japan and internationally in a manner similar to The Young Bucks’ deal with the company. He is, however, unable to work a TV taping for another U.S. wrestling company. Rhodes can also still merchandise through ProWrestlingTees and handle his own outside bookings.
