UPDATE: Prowrestlingsheet.com reports that the new contract is “for over a year” and along with PWG and NJPW, the deal will allow the team to take overseas bookings as long as it doesn’t interfere with an ROH show.
ORIGINAL: ROH announced this morning that The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) have signed exclusive contracts with the company. Matt Jackson had the following to say about the deal…
“We evaluate the landscape right now, we look around at professional wrestling, and everything is evolving. Tag team wrestling is what we do, and this place [Ring of Honor] has the best tag team division in the world, and we want the best competition. We want the best matches. It’s all about quality for us. We call Ring of Honor home; you’ll be seeing a lot of us.”
In the below video, the Bucks stated that they signed the most lucrative deal in company history. They also added on Twitter that they would still be able to work NJPW and PWG…
We went with the best offer. Period. It’s unique & business-changing. We’re excited for this next chapter. @ringofhonor

We’ll continue to wrestle for @njpw1972 & @OfficialPWG. Otherwise, our final independent dates will be 12/17 & 12/20 for @2CW.
