According to sources, Apollo Crews, Baron Corbin, The Vaudevillains and Enzo & Big Cass being called up to the main roster has been planned since February and possibly earlier for some of them. With that being said, several of the talents were still scheduled for WWE NXT matches in Florida before the decision was made to officially call them all up to the main roster last week.
Although Bobby Roode is denying reports that he’s signed a contract with WWE (he claims he’s “very close to signing”), WWE has been telling their talent to deny any media reports and not to reveal that they’ve signed with the company. WWE wants to be able to “surprise” fans and announce it themselves for obvious reasons (ratings, WWE Network #’s, etc.).
