On Monday night’s edition of RAW, a match between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston ended in a no contest due to interference from WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. The winner was supposed to go on to face Lashley at the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event on June 20th.
WWE official Adam Pearce would later book a rematch between McIntyre and Kingston for next week’s RAW, with the stipulation being that if Lashley interferes he would be suspended from WWE and stripped of the WWE Championship.
