As we reported earlier today, Extreme Rising has cancelled all
future events including this weekend’s shows in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The
promotion had advised ticket holders to contact their credit card companies or
bank directly, or the store they purchased tickets at. Seriously, that’s the way
they are going about it.
Big Time Wrestling has now issued a press release offering to make
sure that those who bought tickets can still see a show. The promotion released
the following statement:
If you’ve got an Extreme Rising ticket in your hand, for
any show that may have either happened, or was cancelled, we’ll let you in for
only $10 this weekend in both Ford City, PA on Friday and Altoona, PA on
Saturday. “Quite frankly, we’re disgusted by what’s been going on” said Big Time
Wrestling Owner Steve Perkins. We’ve heard that a lot of money has been taken
from the fans, and more shows were cancelled since the companies inception than
ever took place, if you’ve got a ticket to any of the Pittsburgh area shows, or
any of the Philadelphia shows, hell, even the Wrestlemania Weekend Disaster from
NY, we’ll let you in for only $10.
Discounted tickets must be bought at the door on the night of the
show. The information on the shows are below; the shows will both feature Jeff
Jarrett, Jake Roberts, Ted DiBiase, Sabu, Shane Douglas, Karen Jarrett, The
Nasty Boys and more.
