Edge and Christian appeared on the Wednesday edition of Chris Jericho’s “Talk is Jericho” podcast. During the podcast, the duo discussed their new show on the WWE Network, their time in WWE and lots more.
While discussing their “retirements”, Christian noted that he isn’t technically retired and said he never even had an official conversation about his in-ring future with WWE. He said that he’s basically accepted the fact that he probably won’t wrestle again for the rest of his life.
When asked about their “Edge and Christian’s Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness” on the WWE Network, the two of them said that Kevin Dunn approached them about doing the show after their appearance on the Stone Cold Podcast. They said they were interested in doing a show but didn’t want to have another “talking head magazine show.” They compared their show to be “part Key & Peele, part Tosh.0 and part Saturday Night Live.”
Edge went on to say that Vince McMahon showed up on the first day of filming for the first episode at 11AM EST and said he was “ready and willing to do whatever they asked him to do”. He said, “Vince told us it was our show, and everything was up to us.”
