-- During his previously reported appearance on FOX's Washington, D.C. affiliate today promoting RAW, CM Punk continued playing up a feud with Steve Austin. Punk noted that Austin would be his dream opponent after first mentioning William Regal and Daniel Bryan, but said he didn't think Austin is in a position to call him out these days. "He's hunting and retired and enjoying his life and doing straight-to-DVD movies," Punk said.

He also talked about carrying the torch for old-school styles, mentioning Roddy Piper, Bret Hart and Randy Savage as inspirations. When he was asked if he prefers physical contact or verbal trash-talking, he said he's "always been a microphone guy" like Piper.
