Here is this week’s WWE.com interview, hosted by Michael Cole. This week’s guest is Daniel Bryan, who spoke about the changes to the SmackDown brand.

On trying to improve Smackdown”: Bryan spoke about how he is never happy with himself and feels he has only done an average job so far, but that he and Shane are striving to make Smackdown a different show. He knows there have been hits and misses, but thinks that they have been successful.

On Wanting to Face Brock Lesnar: When asked about Shane McMahon being attacked at Summerslam by Brock Lesnar, Bryan said that he wished he was cleared because that was always his dream match, to face Brock Lesnar. He thinks that it would be the ultimate underdog match, and he had been working on a new style before he was told he could not wrestle again and felt that it could have challenged Lesnar, who fights like a bully. He put over Randy Orton for not stopping at Summerslam, because he showed heart and kept fighting

On Finn Balor’s recent injury. Bryan was asked about Finn Balor’s recent injury and said that it was so unfortunate because he just got to the main roster after years of work. He feels Balor should have been on the main roster 18-months ago, and says that Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura should also be on the main roster before they are used up in NXT.

On the Cruiserweight Division coming to RAW: Cole spoke about the Cruiserweight Division coming to Raw, and praised Bryan for his work as a commentator on the Cruiserweight Classic show. Bryan says that he has loved it and praised the Cedric Alexander vs. Kota Ibushi match, and the fact that Alexander gave up a contract, dropped the weight and killed it in the Classic. He loves seeing guys like Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins getting these chances.

There was also talk of documentary footage being released, where Bryan was going to wrestle a bear.

There was no discussion of the angle with the Miz from Talking Smack this week.
