Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be starring in a movie based on the best-selling book “The Janson Directive.” Universal as well as Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions will be producing the movie. Universal is hoping to make this a multi-film franchise.
The movie is about a former clandestine operative, now working as the best private security consultant in the world. The consultant is framed for a horrendous crime and must team up with the protegee sent to kill him to survive.
“‘The Janson Directive’ is classic Robert Ludlum. Sharp, edgy and layered storylines,” Johnson told The Wrap. “The character is complex, conflicted, bad ass and lethal–I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this and bring him to life.”
