It seems that the past issues between Hernandez and the Lucha Underground promotion are far from finished. According to sources, Hernandez is now threatening to file a lawsuit against the promotion. He is claiming the company provides an “unsafe working environment”.

As noted back in July here on eWrestlingNews.com, Hernandez notified TNA officials that he wasn’t under contract with Lucha Underground and signed a new contract with them (TNA). During this time, the second season of Lucha Underground had not yet begun and talks were still ongoing as to whether there would even be another season. It was later revealed that Hernandez was in fact under contract with Lucha Underground as the company wound up sending TNA Wrestling a legal letter. That legal notice resulted in TNA having to go back and edit future un-aired iMPACT! Wrestling episodes where Hernandez was involved in a pretty big angle (the BDC faction).

Hernandez eventually wound up being released from TNA and returned to Ring of Honor. Homicide was also released from TNA around the same time. MVP also wound up leaving TNA two days after Hernandez was fired. Kenny King was also forced off television for two months while TNA edited iMPACT! episodes.

Lucha Underground then released Hernandez in September, after the whole incident was resolved …. or so we thought.

Stay tuned to eWN for more on this developing story …
