Nikki Bella made her in-ring return at Sunday night’s SummerSlam event. As noted, Bella has been out of action for several months after undergoing neck surgery.
Bella noted on her official Instagram account that she hid on a tour bus before making her return at the event.
“This is me while I waited on a bus to surprise everyone, even my partners & opponents last night at SummerSlam. 7 months ago when I had surgery I hoped for that day to come but was told it wouldn’t. I prayed and trained so hard that it would. I just knew that I couldn’t have already had my ending in the ring. I just wouldn’t accept it. The @wwe universe keeps me alive. You give me energy that no one else can give me. You challenge me. You make me want to be better. It’s crazy what you do to me. And the welcome Brooklyn gave me made me hold in tears.
