Jim Ross announced last night on his twitter account that he will announce the Golden Boy Live boxing show on Memorial Day from El Paso, TX on Fox Sports 1.
Ross had been talking with FS 1 for at least a week about this, according to Dave Meltzer. FS 1 is hoping that the media exposure will bring more interest to the show. The show would go head to head against the May 26th edition of Raw. Ross has followed boxing since the 60s and on his podcast has said that he would be interested in calling MMA or boxing fights.
The show will have a UFC Fight for the Troops feel since it will be held at the Fort Bliss Army base and will be attended by members of the military. Congrats to JR for the gig.
