Randy Orton and John Cena's past issues are said to be due to Orton calling Cena out at the time "for what he was." As previously reported, Kenn Doane/Dykstra recently stated on Twitter that he believes Cena is lobbying to get Orton fired over his latest wellness violation.

A source within the company said that while the relationship between the two is more amicable now, their issues were prevalent as recently as 2006 because as Cena gained more clout in the company, he took on a "hard-ass coach" role similar to that of JBL. Orton, who was also gaining leverage backstage, stood up for himself against Cena.
