Major Backstage Update On Brock Lesnar & WWE

— It was previously reported that Brock Lesnar would not be appearing on next week’s RAW Supershow from London but on Tuesday night’s SmackDown, WWE teased that he may be there.

— Some within WWE believe that with the return of Brock Lesnar and him as the top guy, it will help them in recruiting amateur wrestlers.

— In more Brock Lesnar news, he is not scheduled to wrestle a match until WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. His main event against John Cena will be his first match in a WWE ring in over 8 years.

— Lesnar signed a one year contract with WWE, and it’s rumored to be one of the most lucrative contracts in the history of the company. After seeing Lesnar’s drawing ability in the UFC, WWE is rumored to have guaranteed him $5 million to work a limited schedule. It is for 30-40 appearance, which includes wrestling matches.

— Word is that even before Lesnar’s final UFC fight with Alistair Overeem, he had a $5 million deal waiting for him with WWE. Vince McMahon was said to be agreeable on the amount, but there was a lot of negotiating before both sides agreed on the number of appearances Lesnar would be obligated to make.

— The Rock has also signed a one-year contract, which will see him wrestle a few times this year and also includes WrestleMania 29.
