— David Otunga returned on RAW this week. We reported on Monday that Otunga was expected to return to television shortly after fiancee’s Jennifer Hudson’s former brother-in-law was convicted Thursday of murdering her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew. Otunga had been attending the trial daily and he and Hudson were spotted at Six Flags less than 24 hours after the verdict was announced.
— As noted earlier, the entire Lesnar vs. Triple H storyline is being kept secret and only a few people know where it’s going – Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, John Laurinaitis, Triple H, Lesnar and a few others. Even the WWE writing team isn’t being let in on the direction. Regarding the reported SummerSlam match, people in the company are being told that Triple H vs. Lesnar will not happen at WWE’s August pay-per-view but sources report that it is still scheduled. The previously rumored Randy Orton versus Brock Lesnar match at SummerSlam has been scrapped. WWE is now reportedly set on doing Lesnar vs. Triple H at the show. Word is that Orton as a possible opponent for Lesnar has recently become considerably less popular among WWE officials. As we reported last week, the idea is to have a reenactment of the actual legal battle the two sides (Lesnar and WWE) had years ago. This would see Lesnar sue for breach of contract, which would include all sorts of viral campaigns to get the storyline over to the masses as a legitimate issue. The angle began this week on RAW with the Triple H/Paul Heyman opening segment and promo. We’ll have more on this shortly.
