The Mauro Ranallo & JBL situation is very much still alive, but that has not stopped the once Smackdown Live commentator from commentating other sports. Last night, Ranallo returned to announcing as he did a play-by-play for MMA’s Rizen event. As fighter Jazzy Gabert was being introduced Ranallo took a (possibly all in fun) shot at WWE’s strict on-air terminology.

Mauro Ranallo later took to Twitter to emphasize on his comment during the event:
You should! Join me for #BertoPorter Saturday on @ShowtimeBoxing & you best believe I'll be calling PRO WRESTLING again too.👊 https://t.co/qARspI94Db

If you were not able to watch the video, Ranallo said that the fighter, Jazzy Gabert was a PRO-Wrestler with an emphasis on pro-wrestler following up with “boy does it feel good to use that term again” referring to WWE’s strict use of on-air terminology.
