As Andy reported yesterday here on eWrestlingNews.com, the rating for Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown Live! broadcast dropped. This could be due to the new fall season starting with all new TV broadcast episodes airing. As reported, this week’s SmackDown Live! broadcast drew 2.292 million viewers, with a 0.73 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Showbuzz Daily reports that the numbers are down 14% and 20% from the previous week’s 2.658 million viewers and a 0.91 demo rating. These numbers also represent the lowest numbers since SmackDown went LIVE on the USA Network on Tuesdays. The numbers are still above the numbers for the last two months of the show’s run on the SyFy network, though.

Despite the ratings drop, WWE SmackDown still ranked #1 among cable originals for the night. The show beat out OWN’s If Loving You Is Wrong (0.68 demo rating, 2.334 million viewers). The night was notable for many broadcast network returns and premieres from 8PM to 10PM, including the second night of The Voice on NBC, FOX’s comedy block and Scream Queens, and NCIS and new series Bull on CBS.
