The new gaijin wrestler is Wes Brisco, Former TNA Superstar and the son of WWE legend and current agent Gerald Brisco and nephew of former NWA World Champion Jack Brisco. He’s been active for just under 5 years and will be making his first trip to Japan for the event.

* The full schedule for “G1 Climax 24″ has been announced and it’s a fresh look to a tournament that traditionally runs through August, with New Japan opting to begin the tournament in July in Hokkaido. 11 shows have been confirmed, starting at buildings not familiar with the G1 then moving to regular hotspots such as Korakuen, Osaka and Aichi before the big finale at the Seibu Dome. Perhaps the most surprising thing is no shows at the famous G1 building, Sumo Hall, which would normally host the final but New Japan is being looking bigger with the Seibu Dome this year. The full schedule:

7/23 @ Aomori Prefectural Budokan
