With the recent rumors that he’s WWE bound, New Japan Pro Wrestling has stripped Shinsuke Nakamura of the IWGP IC Title. The company has announced that Kenny Omega will now face a mystery opponent during the main event of the New Beginnings in Niigata show on February 14th. A new champion will be crowned at that time. The rumor is that Hiroshi Tanahashi will be the mystery opponent.
Nakamura will finish his run with New Japan Pro Wrestling on January 30th. He will continue to work NJPW live events this month as he finishes out his current contract.
