For the fourth-consecutive year, the stars of Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling will do battle with and against one another on the War of the Worlds Tour! Titles will be contested and dream matches realized as all of your favorite stars from ROH and NJPW do battle in Toronto, Dearborn, New York City, and Philadelphia! Officials from NJPW and ROH have been working around the clock to finalize matches for the War of the Worlds Pay Per View, emanating from the sold out Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom! It will be broadcast LIVE on Pay Per View, the FiteTV App, Playstation Network, and ROHWrestling.com, Friday May 12 with a 9 PM EST bell time! A Four Corner Survival match has been signed and the winner will put themselves immediately into title contention!
FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH
KUSHIDA vs. DALTON CASTLE w/THE BOYS vs. BOBBY FISH vs. SILAS YOUNG
Four of the top stars in the world will do battle in a Four Corner Survival Match in Manhattan! At Supercard of Honor, we saw Silas Young interrupt Bobby Fish as Fish took the microphone and came to the ring to address rumors surrounding his contract. The issue between these two has risen to a boil, evident by how quickly things escalated in Lakeland! Fish is looking to get back into the ROH World Title picture while Young feels overlooked and is looking to make a statement, sticking his nose into the business of all of the top ROH stars!
Meanwhile, Dalton Castle looks to rebound from his loss at Supercard of Honor where he came within milliseconds of defeating “Almighty” Christopher Daniels for the ROH World Championship! Castle is looking to return to the winning ways that propelled him into championship contention and a pinfall on any of the men involved in this match will certainly do that. Castle has history with Fish, including a ROH World Television Championship bout at Best in the World 2016 and will face one another at War of the Worlds – Dearborn. And the wars between Castle and Young, including a Fight Without Honor, are very well documented.
KUSHIDA may be the odds on favorite in this match, however! He earned a victory over Silas Young last year on the War of the Worlds Tour but traded victories with “Pro Wrestling’s Last Real Man” in tag team action on this year’s Honor Rising Tour. And KUSHIDA has faced Bobby Fish in Best of the Super Juniors tournament action as well as in tag team action with the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team titles on the line to mixed success. And in their only in-ring interaction, KUSHIDA defeated Dalton Castle at last year’s Field of Honor! The four-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion is looking to make an impact and enters the match with perhaps the biggest psychological advantage of the four competitors!
