As noted earlier here on the website, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair arrived backstage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA for RAW on Monday afternoon and was set for a WWE Legends segment where he, Bret Hart, Booker T, Mick Foley and host Jerry Lawler would talk with The Rock and John Cena in a “Q&A” style bit. Flair was pulled from RAW after being sent to the hospital due to complications from a blood clot. WWE’s medical team took a look at Flair’s leg backstage and immediately pulled him from the show, sending him to a local hospital in Philadelphia. Flair was advised from there to return to Charlotte for further treatment. Flair was pulled from an All-Japan show in January due to the same blood clot in his leg.

It should also be noted that Flair was originally supposed to be on three straight episodes of RAW starting last week. It isn’t known why he didn’t appear last week, though creative plans changing is the likely culprit. There is no word on if he will appear on RAW next week as originally planned. As of this writing, it’s unlikely but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.

For those wondering, Dusty Rhodes was the person who replaced Ric Flair on RAW this week. Rhodes is backstage at the TV tapings on a weekly basis, working on the creative team. Arn Anderson is also backstage working as a producer/agent but Rhodes is the better talker so they went with him instead.

On behalf of all of us here on the website, we send our best wishes to Flair for a quick recovery. Get well soon ‘Naitch!
