Dave Scherer of PW Insider is reporting that Mark Carrano, who works in the Talent Relations department under Triple H, was the person who reportedly made the decision to notify some of the WWE main roster talent of their releases today. Apparently, it wasn’t Triple H made the decision to release several talent today as first rumored.
Word is that more releases are expected to take place within the coming hours. Potential cuts are expected to affect all departments.
It has been also said that the current situation regarding WWE Network and it’s lack of success may be also played a role in releasing talent. That doesn’t look good for state of the Network when they release the current subscriber numbers at the second quarter earnings conference call in the coming weeks.
So, in other words, expect WWE’s “Spring Cleaning” to continue into the weekend.
