This will only add to the rumors of several NJPW Superstars (Shinsuke Nakamarua, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) possibly jumping ship to WWE. Nakamura recently confirmed to Tokyo Sports that he will be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling at the end of the month.
Nakamura was expected to stay longer than the other three guys who have reportedly already given their notice. Obviously, this report would suggest otherwise.
According to sources in WWE, Nakamura has not officially spoke with the company due to his contract still being with NJPW until the end of January. Nakamura reached out to WWE about a year ago but he had already re-signed with NJPW by the time they got back to him. At this point, the site still says that none of the four have signed with WWE yet and the WWE.com article is just in order to drive traffic their way instead of to news sites.
