According to Showbuzz Daily, Smackdown had a rise in the ratings after last week’s fall. Tuesday’s episode brought in a 0.91 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 2.658 million viewers. It is up 15% and 8% from last week’s 0.79 demo rating and 2.454 million viewers. The rating was equal to the August 31st episode’s number, although the viewership was still lower than that week’s 2.834 million viewers. This week’s Smackdown also almost defeated Raw in viewership. Raw gathered 2.69 million viewers, although it is worth mentioning that it went up against two Monday Night Football games.
Smackdown ranked #1 among cable originals for the night, defeating OWN’s If Loving You Is Wrong (0.80 demo rating/2.941 million viewers) for the top spot. However, next week will be the real test for the show. It will be against the premieres of several broadcast networks’ fall shows such as The Voice, Scream Queens and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
