WWE was in Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University on Thursday night for the NXT TV tapings. Here are the spoilers:
– Manny Andrade beats Tino in a dark match.
– American Alpha over The Authors of Pain in a dark match.
Spoilers for the May 25th episode:
– NXT GM William Regal cuts a promo in the ring and says that Bayley isn’t cleared to wrestle for the rematch against Asuka. Regal books Carmella vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax in a #1 contender’s match for the main event.
– Tag Team Match: Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated “TM61” Shane Thorne and Nick Miller.
– Austin Aries cuts a promo in the ring about NXT and how he will be NXT Champion one day. He then called out Shinsuke Nakamura. This led to Nakamura walking out and saying that he wants to be NXT Champion too. William Regal walks out and books a match between the two stars at NXT Takeover.
– Singles Match: No Way Jose defeated Johnny Vandal.
– #1 Contender’s Match for the Women’s Title: Nia Jax defeated Carmella and Alexa Bliss. Post-match, Asuka, and Jax had a staredown.
Spoilers for the June 1st episode:
– The Revival cuts a promo in the ring about wanting to get back their NXT Tag Team Titles from American Alpha. This led to Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa walking out. They exchange promos and Revival called them good hands. This led to Revival walking to the back, but Gargano accuses them of running up the ramp pretty fast for “top guys.” This led to The Revival walking back down to the ring but only to walk into double drop kicks by Ciampa and Gargano.
– Singles Match: Tye Dillinger defeated Murphy.
– Singles Match: Austin Aries defeated Elias Samson via submission. Post-man, Aries cut a promo about beating Shinsuke Nakamura at NXT Takeover.
– There was a contract signing between Asuka and Nia Jax for their match at NXT Takeover. The segment ends when Jax powerbombs Asuka.
– Tag Team Match: Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated The Revival. Post-match, The Revival beat down Gargano and Ciampa and hit their finisher to Ciampa. This led to American Alpha walking down to the ring to make the save. A huge brawl breaks out.
