WWE was in Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University on Wednesday night for the NXT TV tapings. Here are the spoilers.
— Jeet Rams defeated Maxx Stardom in a dark match.
Spoilers for the May 3rd episode:
— Singles Match: Hideo Itami defeated Kona Reeves.
— Singles Match: Killian Dain defeated Danny Burch.
— Tag Team Match: Heavy Machinery defeated two jobbers. Post-match, Heavy Machinery cut a promo about how they like having a good time and hitting the buffet between workouts, but they want the Authors of Pain.
— Singles Match: Sonya Deville defeated Lacey Evans.
— Singles Match: Aleister Black defeats an unnamed opponent.
— #1 Contender’s Match: Hideo Itami defeated Roderick Strong. Post-match, Sanity attacked Strong and laid him out.
Spoilers for the May 10th episode:
— Tag Team Match: Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford defeat Dylan Miley & HoHo Lun.
— Singles Match: Kassius Ohno defeated Andrade Cien Almas.
— DIY comes out and say that The Authors of Pain have what they want, which is the NXT Tag Team Championships. They want their rematch for the championships. Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss walked out, which led to the next match.
— Tag Team Match: DIY defeated Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss. Post-match, William Regal walked out and said that only one team deserves to face AOP in Chicago. Paul Ellering comes out and says his team will end their careers. DIY vs. Authors of Pain in a ladder match is set for NXT Takeover: Chicago.
Spoilers for the May 17th episode:
— Bobby Roode walked down to the ring and said that everywhere he goes, he is hearing about Hideo Itami. Roode said that Itami KO’d him with a GTS and that it was completely unprovoked. He said that it would never happen again. He said that he is going to make an example out of Itami at NXT Takeover: Chicago. He said that Itami keeps getting hurt and hasn’t done much as a result but on the other hand, he sent Shinsuke Nakamura packing and made NXT the show to watch. He said that at least Nakamura could go back to Japan with his accomplishments in NXT, but Itami will have to go back and explain how he failed. This led to Itami walking out, but William Regal and security got in his way. Itami got past them and attacked Roode. This segment ended with Itami giving Roode a GTS.
— A battle royal to crown a new #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship was held. Ruby Riot, Ember Moon, and Nikki Cross were the final three. Asuka ran out and attacked them causing a no contest. NXT GM William Regal walked out and announced that Asuka would defend the championship against Moon, Riot, and Cross in a Fatal 4-Way match at NXT Takeover: Chicago.
— Authors of Pain walked down to the ring with Paul Ellering. Ellering said that Authors of Pain are the greatest tag team of their generation. This led to Sanity walking out for a match.
— Tag Team Match: Authors of Pain defeated Sanity by DQ. Post-match, they brawl until security comes in and separates them. This led to Sanity and AOP beating up security. They have a staredown to close the segment.
