— Former WWE star Superstar Billy Graham recently criticized the company because of what CM Punk did on the closing segment of the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. During an interview to promote Wrestlemania 29, Bruno Sammartino took the time to defend the Straight Edge Superstar. Bruno said:
“I think his interviews for a villain…I think he’s very, very good. That’s why it surprised me that Billy Graham would say anything when he used to be a villain who would say things to put down his opponents, even myself. I think he does a very good job when he gets on the microphone, how he talks, how he says it. I took no offence at CM Punk, I know he was doing it to be a villain, that’s what he does. But I think he does a very good job when he gets on that microphone as a villain, what he says, how he talks, how he says it. As a villain I think he does a tremendous job and as a wrestler, I’ve seen him a few times and I think he’s pretty darn good. He’s not too bad at all. The only thing is I think if he was in my era, he would be a little bit too small, we had bigger built guys back then.”
— Steve Austin will not be in attendance at WrestleMania 29 this weekend. The former WWE Heavyweight Champion is currently down in Mexico, where he is filming for his reality television show, Redneck Island. The series is heading into its third season, and Steve Austin has been building momentum in Hollywood because of it.
— It’s a well known fact now that the Miz is dating the extremely gorgeous Maryse Ouellet, a former WWE Diva. In fact, the two of them recently got engaged. During a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, the former heavyweight champion revealed his courtship of his fiancee. Miz said:
“Maryse and I met in 2006 when I was hosting a WWE Diva search and she was a contestant. She was picked, but we didn’t start dating then. About a year later we started talking after one of the Raw events. I was like, “Man if only I could get a girl like this. One of these days I will get a girl like this and I will be so happy.” And I did!”
