Even though Sting has been rumored to appear and actually compete at next month’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, word is that as of this afternoon he is not scheduled to make any kind of appearance that night.
There was some speculation among WWE Superstars that Sting may team up with Stephen Amell to take on Stardust and possibly The Miz, with the idea that both Amell and Sting are “vigilantes.”. There has also been rumors regarding that Sting would be teaming up with Roman Reigns to take on Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper but PW Insider says that is all speculation as WWE is not planning on using Sting at SummerSlam as of late this afternoon.
Sting is expected to be in New York City that weekend to make the SummerSlam Experience signing appearance but apparently the plans of using Sting at SummerSlam have apparently been nixed.
