If you tuned into the latest episode of Smackdown Live, you noticed that the voice of the “blue brand”, lead announcer Mauro Ranallo was not in attendance. Ranallo was not able to make the show due to the weather conditions that hit the North earlier this week.

Former WWE Superstar & commentator Taz, became critical of the SD Live announcer for missing the show. Before SD Live aired, a twitter user told Ranallo “they couldn’t wait to see him” at the commentators desk and Ranallo responded:

Ranallo, who is an extremely active Twitter user has not tweeted since SD Live went on the air Tuesday night.

On Taz’s podcast “The Taz Show“, he had this to say about Mauro Ranallo regarding him missing Smackdown Live:

You can not miss a show. You can’t. You can’t miss a show. When you miss a show – in no order of preference – you get heat with the locker room, you get heat with your boss, you get heat with your broadcast colleagues. It’s just not a regular job. You are there once a week, and you are making a lot of money with a massive, massive platform. You’ve got to be there. You’ve got to make the shot. No matter what happens. Mauro is from Canada, okay, so he’s well-versed when it comes to weather and snow. People knew the storm was coming for days. You have to prepare yourself to get to that town early.
