Red Carpet Crash interviewed The Miz, which you can check out here. Here are highlights from the interview…

- Miz said he was conscious about developing a completely separate identity as "Jake Carter," who is the Marine character that Miz plays. Miz said he did not want people to think, "Oh, that's The Miz from WWE" or "Oh, that's Mike from Real World."

- Miz said he asked The Rock advice before filming the movie. Miz recalled Rock telling him, "Just be natural."

- Miz said he requested from WWE Studios that he shadow a real-life Marine to better understand the role. He said he also drew from his interactions with the U.S. military during WWE's overseas trips for "Tribute to the Troops" TV specials.

- Prior to the movie shoot, Miz says he watched old-school action and Western movies for inspiration, especially Clint Eastwood movies. He said he wanted his Marine character to project a presence and aura, be relaxed and "chill," but also gritty like Bruce Willis's character in the "Die Hard" series.

- At the end of the interview, Miz reflected on his WrestleMania 27 storyline with Rock, who Miz noted inspired him to become a wrestler. Miz also noted he's glad that Rock is back in WWE. "The more people that are watching (because of Rock), the more people will see me, the better it will be," Miz said.
