— The Rock is scheduled for several backstage segments at WrestleMania. WWE officials are giving limited time to the undercard matches so that CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, Hell in a Cell and The Rock vs. John Cena will have as much time as needed.
— Rey Mysterio’s group won the scramble-format competition for the WrestleMania 28 ProAm Golf Tournament earlier this week with a 17-under score. Zack Ryder’s group and Sgt. Slaughter’s group ended at 14-under while Miz’s group finished out at 13-under. ESPN noted that Mysterio played the tournament without his mask on, except when the cameras were on him.
— Diamond Dallas Page recently spoke with Newsday.com, saying that he has no intention of wrestling right now but could definitely get physical if booked for an appearance. Page told the site, “I do a thing where I will hit somebody with a Diamond Cutter.”
Page also spoke about Chris Jericho and CM Punk bringing his DDP Yoga into their Twitter feud leading up to WrestleMania today. “Punk’s all wound up,” he said. “Everybody’s trying to get this emotional fire up, because you want to see this fight. You want to see this explode…I just know he (Jericho) wants to blow the roof off the place, but that’s what Punk wants, too. There’s a lot of great matches on this card. They’re all vying for the ‘steal the show’ spot.”
