The Rock’s Films & DVD Sales, Trish Note, ROH, More

— The Rock’s film G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been bumped nine months to March 29, 2013. This was done for a 3D conversion that Paramount and Dreamworks hopes will boost the film’s box office.

— WWE’s monthly business report says that the Rock’s Epic Journey DVD has sold 143,000 copies, just 1,000 short of the #1 DVD of the past year in Stone Cold Steve Austin’s 2011 DVD set. WWE has shipped 143,000 units of The Rock’s “Epic Journey” DVD release from February. Rock’s DVD is now 1,000 units short of the #1 DVD from the past nine months – Stone Cold Steve Austin’s November 2011 DVD at 144,000 units. The updated DVD figure was reported in WWE’s monthly business report released this week. At the end of March (February business), WWE reported 115,000 units shipped of Rock’s DVD. At the end of April (March business), WWE reported 137,000 units shipped. The pace slowed down this month (April business), but Rock’s DVD should top Austin’s by next month.

— WWE’s stock price fell below $8 today. The stock hit a low of $7.91 before going back up and closing at $7.99. The price had rebounded as high as $9.04 after the company’s solid first quarter report but has gone down in keeping with the overall stock market trend.

— ROH manager and independent wrestler Shane Hagadorn revealed during an appearance on the Wrestling Roundtable show that his in-ring career is most likely over. Hagadorn said that bulging and herniated discs in his neck and back were the reason for the end of his wrestling days. You can check out the full video below:
