It was announced at Thursday’s NXT TV tapings in Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University that Asuka would defend her Women’s Title against Nia Jax at NXT Takeover. Jax won a number contenders match on the May 25th episode of NXT to earn the title shot.
NXT Takeover takes place on June 8th, 2016 in Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University. The show will air on the WWE Network. Here is the current card for the event:
– Steel Cage NXT Title Match: Samoa Joe © vs. Finn Balor.
– NXT Tag Team Title Match: American Alpha © vs. The Revival
– Women’s Title Match: Asuka © vs. Nia Jax
– Singles Match: Austin Aries vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
