TNA iMPACT! Rating Is In – Did The Wedding Draw?

— As a reminder, TNA will be taping next week’s 1/24 iMPACT! Wrestling show tonight in Orlando at the iMPACT! Zone. The company is taping a week ahead as they will begin a tour overseas of Ireland, Scotland and England starting on Monday in Dublin. The company will be taping four weeks worth of iMPACT! Wrestling in Manchester and London on 1/24 and 1/25. They return to the iMPACT! Zone on 2/28 for a live show for Spike TV.

Scheduled for the taping tonight is Jeff Hardy defending the TNA Championship against Christopher Daniels, Tara defends the TNA Knockouts Championship against Velvet Sky, TNA X Division Champion Rob Van Dam and Christian York vs. Kenny King and Zema Ion and the fallout from Thursday of Taz being revealed as the newest member of Aces and Eights.

— Last night’s 1/17 TNA iMPACT! Wrestling drew 1.6 million viewers. This is up from the show last week on 1/10 that drew 1.3 million viewers. The first show of 2013 on 1/3 also drew 1.6 million viewers The final rating will be out shortly.

On a side note, iMPACT! Wrestling was being built as the lead in for the debut of Bellator MMA Live on Thursday night. That show drew 940,000 viewers.

UPDATE: The 1/17 TNA iMPACT! Wrestling drew a 1.15 (1.2) cable rating, with 1.6 million viewers. This is up from last week’s show that drew a 1.02 (1.0) cable rating with 1.3 million viewers. The average viewership was up over 300,000 people.

It is also slightly above the 1.14 (1.1) cable rating the show drew two weeks ago on 1/3 also drawing 1.6 million viewers.
