— Shelly Martinez appears with “The Movie Guys” at Second City Hollywood (located on 6560 Hollywood Boulevard Los Angeles, California 90028) on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Additional details are available at http://tinyurl.com/d5hchmo

— Steve Austin’s reality show Redneck Island premieres this Saturday evening on CMT. The show has the WWE Hall of Famer hosting and running twelve “rough and rowdy good old boys and girls” through a competition with a $100,000 prize at the end. The show premieres at 10 PM and will be a two-hour special, with replays Sunday at 1 AM and 6:30 PM.

The show has a TNA connection, as James Storm’s theme song has been licensed to be the theme for the show. TNA issued a press release about it, in which Storm is quoted as saying, “I love my entrance music and to see the response we have been getting with the video and the song at country radio, I am digging this stuff. But, when I got word that they are using it for the Redneck Island theme, now, that is really cool. I really appreciate the fact that it is being so well received and thank Serg Selinas and Dale Oliver for the kick-ass music. And on another note, I hung out with Steve Austin in Nashville last night and we had a ball.”

— Don West received a great deal to join the Wild and will share in sponsorships, profits and merchandise increases he brings in. TNA was sorry to see him go.

As noted earlier, West recently spoke about leaving TNA for the Wenatchee Wild junior ice hockey team as the team’s Director of Sales and Marketing. Here is what he had to say…

“I’ve been to Wenatchee for a couple (of TNA) shows and literally just fell in love with the place. When the opportunity came up to join the Wild, I knew it was exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
