— As noted earlier, today would have been the 61st birthday of “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Savage died of cardiac arrhythmia while driving with his wife in Seminole, Florida on May 20, 2011.
— Yahoo Sports’ Patrick Michael posted a feature on the “Top 10 WWE Moments in New Orleans”. They include Kurt Angle kissing Stephanie McMahon, the 2011 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, and the first ever WWWF World Tag Team Champions being crowned in 1971. He listed the 2001 Royal Rumble as #1, which was New Orleans’ first WWE PPV event.
