Miesha Tate (18-5) vs. Amanda Nunes (12-4) – women’s bantamweight title fight

Round 1: Nunes was landing solid leg kicks early. Tate scored a takedown inside a minute into the round but Nunes got right back up. Tate went for a takedown but Nunes shoved her off and missed a knee strike as getting up. Nunes stunned her with a right hand. Nunes tagged her with some strikes and Nunes kept coming. Nunes swarmed her with strikes and a knee. Tate went for a takedown but Nunes got her back and worked her with strikes. Nunes locked in the rear-naked choke for the win.

Result: Amanda Nunes def. Miesha Tate via submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 1, 3:16

Brock Lesnar (5-3) vs. Mark Hunt (12-10-1)

Round 1: Hunt missed a huge right but missed. Both guys were hesitant early. Lesnar looked for a takedown but Hunt stuffed the first. The referee slapped Hunt’s hand off the cage and Lesnar took him down. Hunt got right back up and now they clinched up against the fence. Lesnar got a takedown under two minutes to go and got side control. Lesnar got his back and landed some big shots. Hunt got to his feet and Lesnar took him down with a big slam and got mount to end the round.

Round 2: Hunt tagged him with a right hand to open the round. Lesnar shot for a takedown but Hunt stuffed it. Lesnar went for another one but Hunt moved. Lesnar went for a takedown but Hunt stuffed it again. Lesnar doesn’t not want to stand and exchange. He wants the takedown. Hunt was also working the body with his strikes. Hunt missed a strike and Lesnar worked for a single leg takedown up against the fence.

Round 3: Lesnar was slowing down at this point. Lesnar went for a single leg takedown and got it. Lesnar worked him over with strikes from half guard. Lesnar just punched Hunt’s face in. Lesnar got mount with two minutes to go. Lesnar continued to throw hombs.

Result: Brock Lesnar def. Mark Hunt via unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27)

Daniel Cormier (17-1) vs. Anderson Silva (33-7-0-1NC)

Round 1: Cormier came out and took him down. Cormier got half guard and worked him over with elbows. HE did this throughout the entire round.

Round 2: Cormier came out and took him down. Cormier worked him over with strikes and elbows. A complete beatdown by Cormier. They were down up with two minutes to go. Cormier was landing some jabs and Silva caught him with a knee strike. Silva landed an elbow and Cormier clinched with him.

Round 3: Silva was landing some good shots before Cormier took him down. They were stood up as there was not a ton of action. Silva caught him with a good body kick and then Cormier clinched with him.

Result: Daniel Cormier def. Anderson Silva via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26)

Jose Aldo (25-2) vs. Frankie Edgar (20-4-1) – interim featherweight title bout

Round 1: Both guys with a lot of movement and throwing a lot of kicks early. Edgar blitzed him with a combo. Both guys hesitant in this round. Edgar went for a takedown but it was stuffed. Edgar clipped him with a right hook. Aldo tagged him with a left hand. Aldo landed a good knee to the body then dropped him with a head kick but Edgar got right back to his feet.

Round 2: Edgar was finding his home with leg kicks and often. Aldo was landing his right hook. Edgar went for a takedown but Aldo shook him off. Edgar was bleeding from his right temple. Edgar couldn’t find his range. Edgar then started landing his right hook. Edgar shot in for a takedown but Aldo moved. Aldo tagged him a hard right hand. Edgar followed up with a good combo. Edgar shot for a takedown but Aldo shook him off again. Edgar caught a knee and went for a takedown but Aldo stuffed it.

Round 3: They had a good exchange to open up this round. Edgar went for a takedown but Aldo shut it down again. Edgar clinched with him about a minute into the round and put him up against the fence. Edgar worked him over with strikes. Edgar was looking for the takedown but couldn’t get it.

Round 4: Edgar’s face was busted up at this point. Edgar was struggling with his strikes. Aldo’s movement was a big problem for him. Edgar landed a head kick but Aldo answered with two good straight hands. Aldo tagged him with a combo.

Round 5: Edgar continued to look for takedowns but they were just not. Aldo busted him up some more. A very dominant round for Aldo to secure the win.

Result: Jose Aldo def. Frankie Edgar via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47)

Cain Velasquez (13-2) vs. Travis Browne (18-3-1)

Round 1: Browne landed a clean right hand to start the fight off. Velasquez landed some jabs as he pressured him. Velasquez dropped with a right big hand and got on top of him. Velasquez worked him over with strikes from the top. Velasquez got his back and pinned him up against the fence and worked him over with strikes. Browne got to his feet and they exchange. Velasquez landed some solid shots and a knee to the body. Browne looked out of it and Velasquez took him down and got his back. Velasquez worked him over with strikes and this one is over.

Result: Cain Velasquez def. Travis Browne via TKO (strikes) at 4:57 of R1

Preliminary Card: (FS1 – 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT)

Cat Zingano (9-1) vs. Julianna Pena (7-2)

Round 1: Zingano came right out, clinched and took her down. Zingano got side control but Pena got back to her feet. Zingano clinched and took her down again moments later. Zingano got on top in half guard but Pena scrambled and Pena got on top. Zingano scrambled and got full guard on top with 2:31 to go. Penna was landing shots from the bottom but Zingano was landing some big shots from the top. Pena scrambled to her feet to end the round.

Round 2: Zingano came out and took her down and worked her over with strikes. Pena got up to her feet but Zingano took her down. Pena scrambled out and got her back. Pena worked for a rear-naked choke but never got it.

Round 3: Pena came out and took her down. Pena got side control and rained down strikes and elbows. Pena got her back and continued to dominate. Pena got a rear-naked choke but let it go.

Result: Julianna Pena def. Cat Zingano via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Johny Hendricks (17-4) vs. Kelvin Gastelum (11-2)

Round 1: Hendricks was the more aggressive fighter. Gastelum clipped him a few times and then let go. Not a ton of action.

Round 2: Gastelum was moving a lot more in this round and the amount of strikes he was throwing increased in this one. Gastelum ate a left hook but followed up with a right. Gastelum caught a kick and clinched with him up against the fence. Hendricks took him down but Gastelum got right back to his feet. Hendricks clinched with him and put him on the fence. Hendricks landed a good right hook but Gastelum answered back with a left hook.

Round 3: Hendricks came out a clinched with him. Hendricks went for a takedown but Gastelum stuffed it. Hendricks continued to work for a takedown but couldn’t get it. They had a wild exchange to end the round.

Result: Kelvin Gastelum def. Johny Hendricks by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

T.J. Dillashaw (12-3) vs. Raphael Assuncao (23-4)

Round 1: Both guys were exchanging leg kicks early. Dillashaw had his range down early. Dillashaw threw a kick and landed it to the body but Assuncao answered with a right hook. Dillashaw landed a straight right and Assuncao followed up and almost took him down in the process. Dillashaw clinched with him about a minute to go. Assuncao got out and they exchanged to end the round.

Round 2: Dillashaw caught him with a right hook and got a takedown but Assuncao popped right back up. Assuncao was bleeding from his nose. Dillashaw popped him with a jab. Assuncao was tiring down in this round. Assuncao did score a brief takedown with about a minute to go but Dillashaw got right back to his feet. The doctor checked on Assuncao and he was cleared. Dillashaw dropped him with a right hand and swarmed him with strikes Assuncao got back to his feet with 30-seconds left to go in this round.

Round 3: Dillashaw came out and was the more aggressive fighter. Assuncao went for a takedown but it was stuffed. Dillashaw scored a takedown but Assuncao got right back to his feet. They exchanged to the bell.

Result: TJ Dillashaw def. Raphael Assuncao via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Sage Northcutt (7-1) vs. Enrique Marin (8-3)

Round 1: Northcutt came out and landed a good left hook followed by a head kick. Martin followed up with a combo. Northcutt landed a big head kick. Northcutt with a flying knee, Martin clinched and pressed him up against the fence. Martin scored a single leg takedown with two minutes to go. Northcutt went for a leglock but let go. Northcutt got on top in half guard and landed some elbows. Northcutt got his back and flattened him out. Northcutt got mount then half guard. Martin was bleeding from his nose. Martin got to his feet with 1:30 to go. Northcutt clinched and landed some good knees. Northcutt went for a takedown with a minute to go but it was stuffed. Martin got his back but Northcutt dumped him off and got on top of him.

Round 2: Northcutt went for a takedown right out of the gate and got it. Martin got right back up and took Northcutt down. Martin was in side control and landed some shots. Martin went for an armbar and got out it. Northcutt got on top in full guard. Martin scrambled and got on top with a minute to go. Martin went for a kimura and then went for an armbar but Northcutt got out and got on top.

Round 3: Northcutt came out and laid down some bombs with his right hand. Martin clinched and Northcutt landed some knee strikes. Martin scored a takedown inside two minutes of the round. Northcutt got to his feet. Martin stayed on him up against the fence. Northcutt was landing some hard elbows from this position. Martin went for a takedown but it was stuffed. Northcutt went for a choke but let go and got to his feet. Martin scored a takedown but Northcutt rolled through and got on top in full guard. Northcutt was landing some big shots from the top.

Diego Sanchez (26-8) vs. Joe Lauzon (25-11)

Round 1: Sanchez came out and landed a good uppercut right out of the gate. Lauzon dropped him with a solid right, Sanchez got up and Lauzon dropped him again. Sanchez got up while Lauzon was just pouring it on. They had a wild exchange. Lauzon swarmed him with strikes up against the fence and this one got stopped.

Result: Joe Lauzon def. Diego Sanchez via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 1:26

Gegard Mousasi (38-6-2) vs. Thiago Santos (13-3)

Round 1: Mousasi came out and was throwing some good shots. Santos caught him with a good right hand that clipped him. Mousasi was getting inside with his jabs. Santos was mixing things up with some heavy kicks. Mousasi hurt him with a right uppercut and fired away with several strikes. Santos dropped and Mousasi got his back and let go on some left bombs. Santos got to his feet with under two minutes to go. Mousasi scored a takedown and got side control moments later. Mousasi got half guard with a minute to go and put some good shots together. Santos got back to his feet and Mousasi crushed him with a right uppercut that dropped Santos. Mousasi finished him on the ground with strikes.

Result: Gegard Mousasi def Thiago Santos via KO RD 1 (4:32)

Jim Miller (25-8, 1NC) vs. Takanori Gomi (35-11, 1NC)

Round 1: Miller took him down and got his back within a minute of the round. Miller worked him over with strikes and looked for the submission. Miller flattened him out and finished him with strikes.

Result: Jim Miller def. Takanori Gomi via TKO (Punches) R1, 2:18
