UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey stated in an interview that when the UFC asked her to fight Holly Holm on the UFC 193 card on November 15 in Melbourne, Australia, she was excited and had no problem taking the fight. However, she joked that now she has to sell out the event, which is being held in a stadium, like WrestleMania.
“I was like, ‘That’s a whole WrestleMania. That’s as big as WrestleMania! I have to sell a whole WrestleMania by myself?!’ That’s a tall order. Now it’s so awesome to have Joanna (Jędrzejczyk) on the card, so that’s definitely a big help. It’s really encouraging to see that the UFC has so much confidence in the women that they think that we can break attendance records on our own. And, I think that we’re completely capable of it and I’m looking forward to showing the world what we can do.”

Rousey appeared in a segment alongside The Rock with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WrestleMania 31.
In her last bout, which was at UFC 190 against Bethe Correia, the PPV buy rate was close to one million and was one of the more successful UFC shows in recent history.
