Later tonight, UFC will present their 12th live fight card on the regular FOX network channel. The main event of the evening will see two of UFC’s top-ranked Welterweights — Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown — slug it out to determine who will be UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks’ next opponent.
During the weigh-ins for the event, which took place on Friday night, Matt Brown failed to make weight for the fight, missing the 170-pound limit by two pounds. Due to a special set of circumstances, the fight will go ahead as scheduled.
However, after the weigh-ins, Robbie Lawler and his team approached UFC President Dana White, pretending to be furious about Brown’s failure to make weight, and claiming that Lawler is pulling out of the fight as a result.
