Because of how different Smackdown has been compared to Raw, some have been assuming that Vince McMahon has nothing to do with the show. In a response to a question on Twitter, Dave Meltzer “shut down” the assumption that McMahon cares less about Smackdown’s creative direction than Raw’s creative direction.
