“King” Wade Barrett joined ESPN’s SportsCenter last night and former WWE announcer Jonathan “The Coach” Coachman went right into the slap from Wayne Rooney from RAW, and he asked Barrett if the slap was real and what happened. Wade talked about Rooney’s accomplishments in football, then said it’s the first time a fan, let alone a huge English celebrity like Rooney making it a huge moment.

Wade talked about getting into WWE after being a fighter, then Coach asked about Wade being a huge Chicago Bears (American) football fan. Wade said he probably would have been a football player if he’d been born somewhere besides England, then they talked about Wade winning the first season of NXT. He said he started the ball rolling and the current NXT brand wouldn’t be as big if not for him. Coach asked him about leaving home and returning with WWE to perform in front of the home crowd, and Wade said it’s been great because “he’s the King of the Ring and the King of the world!”.

Coach stopped him and said LeBron James is a King here in the US, so Wade said he won a tournament, but LeBron just took a name and he is nothing to pay attention to. Coach said with that, he has some “bad news”, and that is that the interview is over, then thanked Barrett and congratulated The Rock on his birth announcement from earlier in the day.
