TMZ recently caught up with Stephanie McMahon and asked her about former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey returning to the WWE. Rousey and McMahon have history as they did an angle at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 with Triple H and The Rock, which got physical. Rousey recently announced that she won’t be fighting for much longer and that her upcoming title fight with Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on December 30th would be one of her last fights in her MMA career.
McMahon said that she hopes Rousey will come back to WWE and joked that she has to pay Rousey back for putting her in an armbar at WrestleMania. McMahon was asked if WWE and Rousey have had talks about a potential return, “God, I certainly hope so, I gotta get her back,” McMahon said.” McMahon added that she is certainly going to try to make it happen.
In previous interviews, Rousey has stated that she would love to have the chance to be the Women’s Champion and that she would like to be a part of WWE as much as she could. Time will tell if Rousey will return to WWE.
