– John Cena is set to film season 2 of FOX’s series, American Grit. John Cena was last seen at Summerslam, where he lost to AJ Styles and afterwards left his “Never Give Up” band in the middle of the ring. Cena has wrestled RAW and Smackdown dark matches since Summreslam, but hasn’t appeared on TV. Cena isn’t expected to take his hiatus until mid-October, according to WINC. The filming is expected to be around two and a half months, so that would effectively take him off WWE television for the rest of the year.

– I noted last week that Roman Reigns was the current favorite to win tonight’s Fatal Four Way Universal Championship main event match tonight. I also noted that Finn Balor was originally scheduled to face Kevin Owens at Clash at the Champions, and face both Owens and Jericho at Hell In A Cell. Well, in the past couple of days, according to Cageside Seats, WWE is also considering putting the title on Rollins and have him continue the path they originally set for Balor before his shoulder injury. This would mean that Rollins would feud with Owens, and Jericho would get involved later.
